The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games

SoldOut was Official Event Agency to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Numerous public tenders were awarded by the Organising Committee and external stakeholders, which led to the event management specialist’s delivery of a comprehensive six-year campaign of events, launches and celebrations in the run-up to this major event.

SoldOut provided end-to-end production of mass live and televised engagement events including the surf rescue-themed helicopter-launch and subsequent nationwide marketing and community engagement tour of the Games’ mascot, Borobi.

Media events and announcements were provided, including countdown clock unveilings, sports draw reveals and individual sports showcases; with an ambitious range of bespoke sponsorship activations, client services, site, security and logistics management, staffing, staging, audio, theming, pyrotechnics, custom branding and signage production overseen and successfully delivered by SoldOut.
